The Art of Surrender
Trusting that the Universe's plan is greater than yours
There comes a point when you realize that no matter how much you plan, push, or perfect, life will still find its own way.
Time and again, I’ve found that the timing, people, the opportunities, all arrive not when you want, but when you are ready.
And it’s funny, because I seem to have to relearn this lesson over and over. Always in need of a reminder just when I start to feel that where I am isn’t where I want to be… and yet, this very place was once exactly where I hoped to arrive.
One must appreciate the irony in that.
The Return
And in this latest episode of Vanessa reclaiming herself once more, as if on cue, The Surrender Experiment by Michael Singer found its way into my hands.
The man who founded the Temple of the Universe and WebMD built his life entirely on trust, in a plan greater than his own, showing up exactly where he was, doing his best, always.
He removed personal likes and dislikes, simply accepting the offer, the ask, the friendship, or the opportunity, no matter what.
Because he believed that true purpose is never some distant goal waiting on the horizon.
It’s right here, in the work, the relationships, and the moments placed in front of you today.
When you treat what’s in front of you as sacred, you stop resisting the process. You start partnering with it.
Faith in the Middle
Maybe faith isn’t about having all the answers.
Maybe it’s about trusting that with great input, with love, integrity, and patience, the great output will always follow.
Even if it looks different than what we planned.
And I’ve personally found a lot of power in that.
